Are you an experienced Registered Behavior Technician ready to move into a formal supervisory role while remaining connected to the individuals you support?

The Arc of the Ozarks is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician Supervisor to provide hands‑on ABA services while supervising, training, scheduling, and supporting a team of RBTs.

In this role, you will provide day‑to‑day employee supervision and operational support for RBT staff while continuing to deliver ABA services under the clinical direction of a BCBA. This is an opportunity to build leadership experience without stepping away from meaningful direct-service work.

Why This Role Matters

RBTs provide the consistent, hands‑on support that turns BCBA‑designed treatment plans into meaningful progress. As the RBT Supervisor, you will help ensure that individuals receive reliable, high‑quality services while also making sure RBT team members have the training, schedules, feedback, and day‑to‑day support they need to succeed. Your work will help children, adolescents, and adults develop greater independence, strengthen communication and daily living skills, participate more fully in their communities, and reduce barriers associated with challenging behavior.

What You'll Do
Supervise and Support the RBT Team
  • Provide day‑to‑day supervision for department RBTs under the direction of the Lead BCBA
  • Coordinate, review, and approve RBT schedules
  • Communicate schedule updates to employees and other appropriate team members
  • Respond to staffing changes and employee call‑ins, including changes that may occur with short notice
  • Review and approve employee timecards and time‑off requests
  • Participate in employee appraisals, recognition, coaching, corrective action, and other supervisory processes
  • Help lead the hiring process for new RBTs
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate participation from appropriate BCBAs
  • Communicate with new employees about training and work schedules
  • Provide training, modeling, coaching, and feedback to new and current RBTs
  • Help fill open RBT shifts when coverage is needed
  • Monitor employee documentation and compliance with department expectations
Provide Direct ABA Services
  • Provide approximately 20 hours of direct client services each week
  • Implement behavior support plans, treatment plans, and skill‑acquisition programs developed by the BCBA
  • Collect accurate observational, ABC, daily‑service, and skill‑acquisition data
  • Maintain accurate records and complete billing documentation and required reports on time
  • Assist with functional analyses, functional behavior assessments, preference assessments, and other assessments as directed
  • Teach communication, social, adaptive, community, and daily living skills
  • Use approved teaching procedures such as task analysis, forward chaining, and backward chaining
  • Model behavior‑support strategies for employees, caregivers, and families
  • Provide feedback to caregivers and staff regarding the implementation of behavior support plans
  • Participate in treatment‑planning meetings, department meetings, and supervision sessions
  • Provide approved crisis prevention and intervention support when needed
  • Follow all BACB ethical expectations, organizational policies, and RBT scope‑of‑practice requirements
Schedule, Location and Pay

This is a full‑time salaried position paying $54,000-$62,500 annually, based on relevant experience and qualifications.

The regular schedule is: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Because this position is responsible for coordinating employee schedules and coverage, the RBT Supervisor must also be available by phone outside regular working hours when employee call‑ins or schedule changes occur.

The position is based on‑site in Monett, Missouri. Work‑related travel is required between service locations and may include site‑based, residential, community, or in‑home settings.

What to Know Before Applying

This is active, hands‑on work that includes both employee supervision and direct ABA services.

The individuals you support may experience aggression, self‑injury, impulsivity, poor decision‑making, or other challenging behaviors. You will be expected to follow approved behavior‑support and crisis‑intervention procedures while remaining calm, respectful, and person‑centered.
