Job summary

Ro Health is hiring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to support students for the 2026–2027 school year and beyond in the Sweetwater Unified High School District. This school-based role offers varying assignments, Monday–Friday hours, and meaningful 1:1 ABA services under BCBA supervision.

You will collect data, implement treatment plans, help students meet IEP goals, and collaborate with educators and families.

Qualifications

• Current RBT certification (or willingness to obtain—Ro Health can help!).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 ABA-based behavior therapy per BCBA guidance.
• Support students to meet IEP goals including behavior, social, and academic engagement.
• Collect and document data on behavior and skill gains.
• Assist students with independence in routines and transitions.
• Reinforce positive behaviors and apply proactive strategies.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide 1:1 behavior therapy to students using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), implementing individualized treatment plans and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) designed by a BCBA
• Support students in achieving goals outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including behavior regulation, social skills, communication, and academic engagement
• Collect and document accurate data on behavior and skill acquisition, and collaborate with BCBAs and school staff to adjust strategies as needed
• Assist students in building independence across daily routines, classroom transitions, peer interactions, and learning activities
• Reinforce positive behaviors and use proactive, evidence-based strategies to prevent or redirect challenging behaviors
• Communicate professionally with educators, families, and agency supervisors while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to support student progress and your continued development as an RBT
