Job summary

ABA Centers of Tennessee is seeking a Part-Time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Knoxville, TN. The position offers a starting rate of $20.85 per hour and requires an active RBT certification through the BACB.

Availability includes Monday through Friday, with a mix of day and evening hours. Responsibilities include delivering ABA therapy in homes, schools, or clinics, teaching communication and daily living skills, and documenting session data under BCBA supervision.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active RBT certification through the BACB board
• Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review

Position-Specific

• Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
• Training availability (BT / RBT): Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Preferred

• Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
• Experience working with children or adolescents
• Prior exposure to ABA services
