Job summary

ABA Centers of America in Salem, NH is seeking a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT) to support clients with autism. The role offers hands-on ABA therapy in homes, schools, and clinics, with paid training and clear advancement paths.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles).
• Availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, communities, clinics, or other venues based on client needs.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
• Track progress and maintain quality.
• Collect, organize, and document session data accurately.
• Work closely with BCBAs, team members, and families.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.

What You’ll Do

Direct Client Support

• Deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, communities, clinics, or other venues based on client needs
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills

• Work closely with BCBAs, team members, and families

Support Operations

• Assist with administrative and clinical support tasks as needed

Requirements

Required

• High school diploma or GED
• 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles)
• Availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review

Preferred

• Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
• Experience working with children or adolescents
• Prior exposure to ABA services

Position‑Specific Items

• Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40‑hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate), followed by precepting and pass the RBT exam within 45 days.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (up to 2 weeks).
• Training availability (BT/RBT): Monday‑Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
