Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Part-Time
Location: Waterbury, CT
Compensation: $16 - $26/hour
Schedule: Early mornings (7:00–8:00 AM) & afternoons/evenings (3:30/4:00–6:30 PM)
Hours: ~20 hours per week
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to clients in Waterbury, CT. This role involves working one-on-one with children and adolescents diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans, and supporting skill development under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Essential Functions
- Implement individualized ABA treatment plans for children and adolescents in a home setting under the guidance of a BCBA.
- Support behavior management strategies, ensuring consistency and adherence to treatment plans.
- Assist in creating client materials to support intervention goals.
- Provide parent training and collaborate with families to reinforce learning and progress.
- Maintain accurate data collection and timely documentation of clinical services.
- Work with clients who have a history of severe aggression and demonstrate confidence in managing challenging behaviors.
- Maintain a reliable and consistent schedule with families to ensure effective therapy implementation.
- Follow BACB ethical guidelines and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active RBT certification (40-hour training course completed).
- Experience working with high-aggression clients (preferred).
- Minimum one year of experience working with children or adolescents with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or related fields.
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage a caseload efficiently.

- Ability to work independently in-home with minimal supervision.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This job operates in a client home environment – employees must be comfortable working in various home settings.
