Job summary

Advanceable ABA is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for in-home, part-time sessions in the Richmond area. You’ll work under BCBA guidance to implement individualized ABA plans and support children in communication, social, and daily living skills.

The role offers flexibility, paid training, PTO, and ongoing supervision. Ideal for candidates with RBT certification and a passion for helping children grow in a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification; if not, assistance to certify is provided.
• 1+ year experience with children or individuals with special needs (preferred).
• Strong communication, patience and professionalism required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized 1:1 in-home ABA therapy under BCBA supervision.
• Help children develop communication, social, behavioral and daily living skills.
• Use evidence-based ABA strategies and reinforcement techniques.
• Track progress with session data and clinical notes.
• Communicate professionally with families and clinical team.
• Participate in ongoing BCBA supervision and training.
• Stay active during sessions with interacting play and movement.

What You’ll Do:

As an RBT, you’ll provide individualized 1:1 in-home ABA therapy under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working directly with children to implement individualized ABA treatment plans
• Helping children develop communication, social, behavioral, play, and daily-living skills
• Using evidence-based ABA strategies and reinforcement techniques
• Tracking progress through accurate session data and clinical notes
• Communicating professionally with families and members of the clinical team
• Participating in ongoing BCBA supervision and training
• Staying active and engaged during sessions, including sitting, squatting, walking, running, and playing with children

What We’re Looking For:

• Active RBT certification, if not we’ll support your path to certification
• Passion for working with children and helping others grow
• 1+ year of experience working with kids or individuals with special needs (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (required)
• Strong communication, patience, and professionalism
• Ability to work in clients’ homes throughout the [LOCATION] area
• Part-time and full-time RBT positions available
• Afternoon and after-school sessions (Monday–Friday; weekends as needed)
• 15–25+ hours per week depending on your availability and client needs
