Job summary

The Place for Children with Autism is seeking a Behavior Therapist to work in-person with young children aged 2-8 who have autism. You will implement individualized therapy plans, track progress, and use play to promote learning while partnering with families and clinicians.

We provide fully paid, comprehensive training to help you earn your RBT certification with no prior experience required. This is a full-time daytime role located in Orland Park, IL.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children aged 2-8 with ASD, teaching communication and daily living skills.
• Implement behavior therapy programs and collect data for progress.
• Engage children using play, movement, and positive reinforcement.
• Collaborate with families and clinical staff to support growth.

In fact, most of our new hires are ready to sit for their certification within just35 daysof their start date.

What We Offer

Competitive Pay Based on Your Experience & Education:

• High School orAssociate’s Degree: $17.05 – $23.00 per hour, with $1.00 per hour increases every six months (based on your starting level at hire).


• Master’s Degree: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour.


• Eligibility to participate in the Shared Success Bonus Plan, with quarterly bonuses being paid after you obtain your RBT certification.

• Work 1:1 with children between the ages of 2-8 withAutism Spectrum Disorder(ASD), helping them learn communication, social, anddaily-livingskills.


• Implement individualized therapy programs designed by our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), collect data, and participate in team discussions around progress and strategy.


• Bring energy, creativity, and passion – Using play, movement, and laughter to engage children while promoting skill-building and growth.


• Partner with clients and their families in celebrating wins, problem-solving challenges, and promoting each child’s growth.
