Your Role as a Behavior Technician

As a Behavior Technician at BrightPath Behavior, you play a crucial role in helping children and their families grow through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). You will work with children and adolescents facing behavioral challenges, providing essential support in developing positive behaviors and life skills. By incorporating fun and play into your sessions, you'll create an engaging and supportive environment for learning and growth. Under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you’ll implement tailored strategies to bring meaningful change to each client.

Job Functions

  • Implement behavioral interventions using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Collect and record data on client progress and behavior.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals, including behavior analysts, behavior technicians, and caregivers.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients and their families under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Required License Or Certification

  • Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
  • CPR/BLS certification is required within the first two weeks of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license and current car insurance on the vehicle.

Minimum Qualifications And Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Strong observational and data collection skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English for both verbal and written communication.
