Easterseals Hawaii is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in clinic, home, and community settings. You will implement individualized ABA-based interventions and document progress under supervision, collaborating with families and a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Implement clinic, home, and community-based ABA interventions under supervision.
  • Document sessions and progress within required timeframes.
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travel to multiple work sites; reliable transportation required.

If this sounds like you, please apply below.Essential Job FunctionsUnder supervision of the Clinical Manager, implements in clinic, home/ and community-based intervention for children diagnosed on the autism spectrum.Responsible for providing efficient and effective service in all areas of performance.Completes necessary documentation within required timeframeAttends staff meetings, trainings, and other meetings as requested.Responsible to complete additional job duties as assigned by Supervisors/Management.QualificationsMinimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:High School diploma or equivalent required.Recent experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or related developmental disabilities in a direct care capacity preferred.RBT Certification preferred.Knowledge & Skills:Previous experience providing education, coaching and support to families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or related developmental disabilities a plus.Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.A commitment to the values of the organization while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, patienceand discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters, including maintaining HIPAA requirements.Aptness to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Propensity to appropriately implement policies, procedures, and regulations of the organization; training provided.Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/Microsoft processing software and excel. Must be able to use an iPhone or work cell phone if applicable.Work in an exciting, fast paced high energy environment while effectively multitasking and managing day-to-day responsibilities without supervision.Personable; able to work comfortably with individuals at all levels within the organization.Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills.Excellent verbal and writing communication skills; frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.Travel to multiple work sites; reliable transportation needed.Physical Requirements:Must be able to communicate effectively within the work environment, read and write using the primary language within the workplace.Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting in order to observe, assess, and interact with clients.Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time, stand for up to 6-8 hours a day.Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff and others in the workplace continuously.Frequent speaking and listening (50%) to clients, staff, and other professionals in meetings.Utilize computer and iPad for effective communication.Frequent exposure to disability disorders in clients; occasional emergency situation; occasional exposure to trauma; constant client contact and decision making; constant concentration required when working with clients.Aptness to physically implement behavior management strategies including responding to physically aggressive behavior.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTAbility to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.Travel to multiple work sites; reliable transportation needed.Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations and clear TB testing based on company policies.Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.Ability to obtain and maintain Safety Care certification.Ability to obtain and maintain RBT certification.Ability to obtain and maintain NPI number.Must attend any required training.Time Type:Full timeCompensation:$18-28 depending on experienceThe statements contained in this job description reflect general details as necessary to describe the principal functions of this job.
