Job summary

Child'sPlay Therapy Center, an Alabama-based pediatric therapy provider, seeks a full-time BT role at the South Huntsville clinic. You will work with a team of therapists and counselors under BCBA supervision to deliver ABA-based services for children up to 21 years old.

Responsibilities include implementing learning programs, collecting data, collaborating with families, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills.
• Certificate, Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in a behavioral health or related field preferred, but not required.

• Implement learning programs under the supervision of a BCBA and collect data on target behaviors.
• Deliver skills instruction to clients based upon the principles of applied behavior analysis.
• Collaborate with caregivers to evaluate and modify the behavior of children with special needs.
• Assist in providing training and guidance to parents, and other caregivers to help children overcome problems with communication, social skills, attention, or sensory integration.
• Communicate with therapists and other professionals on the child's progress.
• Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner

Essential Job Functions

• Able to provide consistent attention and care for the client, up to 2 hour long sessions
• Ability to sustain long periods of sitting or standing
• Excellent communications skills to effectively interact with patients
• Ability to bend, squat, lift, and lower a minimum of 20 pounds (must be able to lift and carry clients)
• Must be able to have flexible scheduling
• Ability to communicate with your team through phone and email in a timely manner
