Ascend Rehab Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for clinic-based support.

The role provides ABA-based interventions under supervision of BCBA/BCaBA and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to help children grow in a structured setting. This part-time position offers 20–22 hours weekly, with responsibilities including data collection, implementing plans, and working with families and teachers.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience with children aged 0–5.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain on hire.
• Comfortable with hands-on care including diapering.
• Reliable, professional, and team oriented.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by a BCBA/BCaBA

• Provide 1:1 and small-group ABA services in a preschool/community setting

• Collect and document accurate data and session notes

• Support children with daily routines, transitions, communication, and social skills

• Assist with diapering, toileting, and maintaining a clean and safe environment

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families

• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and ethical guidelines

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required)

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 1 year experience working with children ages 0–5

• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

• Comfortable with hands-on care including diaper changing

• Reliable, professional, and able to work as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention

• Bilingual (preferred, not required)

• Coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or ABA
