Job summary

DDSi is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work with adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Indiana. You will help participants participate in daily activities, community outings, and skill-building opportunities, while upholding dignity, choice, and safety.

The role emphasizes one-on-one support in programs like New Adventures and Little Adventures ABA, under supervision of a BCBA.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Ability to follow plans and instructions and maintain safety.
• Able to work with children and adults across Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with daily activities and community participation.
• Support skill-building and independence through guided activities.
• Document progress and communicate with supervisors and BCBA supervision.

What is a Direct Support Professional (DSP)?

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are the team members who work directly with participants day to day. They help participants take part in daily activities, community outings, and skill-building opportunities while supporting dignity, choice, and safety.

DSP roles are central to programs like New Adventures and the everyday support DDSi provides across its programs.

• Weekday schedule; no overnight shifts
• New Adventures 4 You Day Habilitation Program

Help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live fuller, more independent lives through fun, engaging, and purposeful daily experiences at New Adventures 4 You.

• Homes, schools, and community settings (clinic coming soon)

Work one-on-one with children with autism and other developmental disabilities at Little Adventures ABA, a program of DDSi — building meaningful skills under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Help children and adults across Indiana discover new interests, build confidence, improve physical and emotional wellness, and take part in their communities through therapeutic recreation.
