Job description

Overview: Looking for Full Time Applicants

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides a safe and effective clinic-based learning environment for children in accordance with the philosophy and mission of Behaven Kids.

Compensation:

  • $18.50 - $29 per hour
  • 30 guaranteed weekly hours
  • Quarterly performance reviews
  • Yearly recertification fees paid
  • Paid RBT training and exam fees for up to two tests
  • Mileage reimbursement provided for occasional travel
  • Health, dental and vision, and life insurance (Full time)
  • 401(k) & 401(k) matching (Full Time)
  • Paid time off and holidays (Full Time)
  • Differential rate for weeknights and weekends
  • +30% more money earned over the course of 12 months compared to other RBT positions in the area considering 160 hours per month, mileage reimbursement (if applicable as +95% of the time is clinic-based), bonus, PTO, paid time during certification study, and performance reviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for direct therapy for children with autism using discrete trials to teach language, play social interaction, and self-help skills.
  • Provides a safe, structured learning environment.
  • Interacts with children in a professional, positive manner.
  • Implements Behaven Kids model of care and curriculum.
  • Implements treatment goals and objectives.
  • Prepares updates and maintains documentation and children’s records.
  • Communicates treatment progress and concerns with parents, staff, and supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least nineteen years of age.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an active environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Preference given to candidates already RBT certified.
  • Must be able to travel to Omaha for training (2-3 days).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (Required).
  • Certified Registered Behavior Technician in good standing with the BACB (Preferred).
  • 3 years’ experience in a preschool or daycare setting (Required).
  • Associate degree in early childhood education or related field (Preferred).
  • Experience with children diagnosed with autism or other developmental disabilities (Preferred).
