Job description

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Pay: $18–$22/hour

Schedule: Full-Time & Part-Time Available

Location: Columbus, OH

Use Your RBT Skills Where They Matter Most.

Put your skills to work helping individuals build independence where life actually happens; in their homes, schools, and communities.

At Ability Matters, we provide person-centered behavioral services for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. We are not a home health agency or clinic. We help individuals develop meaningful skills through real-life experiences and community inclusion.

This is a hands-on role where you'll see the impact of your work every day.

What You’ll Do
  • Implement Behavior Plans
  • Provide direct ABA services by implementing individualized behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Teach Functional Skills: Support communication, social development, emotional regulation, independence, and daily living skills.
  • Use Positive Behavior Support: Apply evidence-based behavioral strategies that promote dignity, independence, and meaningful progress.
  • Collect Data & Monitor Progress: Track behavioral and skill development data to support individualized treatment and service planning.
  • Support Community Inclusion: Provide services in homes, schools, day programs, and throughout the community, helping individuals participate in meaningful activities and build independence beyond traditional therapy settings.
  • Collaborate with Teams & Families: Work closely with BCBAs, supervisors, families, and other professionals to ensure consistent implementation of treatment goals and individualized supports.
Who Thrives Here
  • Current RBTs who enjoy building meaningful relationships with the individuals they support
  • Professionals who want to see the real-world impact of their ABA skills
  • Strong communicators who are patient, adaptable, and dependable
  • People who enjoy active, community-based work rather than sitting in one location all day
Why You’ll Love Working Here
  • Practice ABA Beyond the Clinic: Work with individuals in homes and throughout the community, helping them generalize skills where they'll use them most.
  • Best-in-Class Pay & Benefits: We lead the industry because the work you do matters.
  • Supportive Clinical Leadership: Receive ongoing guidance, collaboration, and support from experienced BCBAs and leadership.
  • Flexible Schedules: Full-time and part-time options support your life outside of work.
  • Career Growth: Expand your experience with professional development opportunities to build your career.
  • Mission-Driven Purpose: You will make a meaningful difference every single day.
Qualifications
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, high school diploma or GED minimum
