Job summary

Burnett Therapeutic Services is hiring an in-home/in-clinic RBT to work 1:1 with children who have autism or developmental delays. Sessions run 2-3 hours in various locations including the child’s home, clinic, or school, with caseload tailored to your availability and age group preferences.

Role supports communication, social, and daily living skills through play-based activities. Entry-level and certified RBTs are welcome as you grow your ABA career with BTS.

Qualifications

• Active RBT/ABAT/BCAT certification is required for this position.
• Must maintain an active RBT/ABAT/BCAT as a requirement for continued employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance required.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding).
• TB test, MMR & Varicella immunization, and a pre-employment physical within the past year.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one behavior support to children with autism or developmental delays.
• Implement behavior intervention plans designed by BCBA supervisors.
• Collect and record data on client progress accurately.
• Communicate with families to provide updates and support.
• Engage in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings.

What You’ll Do

As an RBT at BTS, you’ll work 1:1 with children with autism or developmental delays to build communication, social, play, and daily living skills through structured, play-based activities. Sessions take place in the child’s home, clinic, or school, lasting 2-3 hours. We tailor your caseload to fit your availability and match you with age groups you’re comfortable with, from toddlers to teens.

Your Responsibilities Include

• Delivering one‑on‑one behavior support through fun, individualized activities
• Implementing behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
• Collecting and recording data on client progress accurately
• Communicating regularly with families to provide updates and support
• Participating in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions

Qualifications

• Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for working with children
• 6 months of experience working or volunteering with individuals with intellectual disabilities is a must.
• Candidates with an RBT, ABAT, or BCAT certification.
• Preferred: Current student or recent graduate in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Sociology, Biology, or related field.
• Spanish‑speaking is a plus!
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
• Reliability and a willingness to work with a variety of clients
