Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) created by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to assist clients in their development.
  • Collect data meticulously during client sessions to ensure accurate tracking of behavioral progress and hurdles.
  • Conduct one-on-one therapeutic interventions with children to promote skill acquisition based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Maintain a consistent communication channel with supervisors and parents to update them on client progress and receive feedback on intervention strategies.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client developments, share insights, and brainstorm on improving therapeutic approaches.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards as set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and remain updated with the latest ABA research and techniques.
  • Ensure the physical safety of clients at all times during sessions.
  • Prepare educational materials and resources as needed to support client goals and interventions.
  • Assist in the creation of supportive environments that foster client growth and learning.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a high school diploma; a bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related field is preferred.
  • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Proven experience working with children with autism, special needs, or in early childhood settings.
  • Strong understanding and clinical application of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
