In our 1:1 ABA setting, you'll work directly with children (ages 18 months to 8 years) using ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a supportive, center-based environment. What You’ll Be Doing as a Behavior Therapist

  • Apply the principles of one-on-one ABA therapy to help children with Autism reach their potential by following treatment plans, implementing therapies, collecting data, writing insurance notes, and incorporating supervisor feedback.
  • Support the development of children through engaging, fun therapeutic activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize treatment, safety, and a positive work environment.
  • Engage with children through play, movement, and imitation, adapting activities to each child's interests and energy levels.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including peers, families, and supervisors, to coordinate activities and advocate for needs.

Job Requirements

  • Lift and move with children in a fast-paced environment, including lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, squatting, moving on the floor, and running to stay engaged with children and ensure safety.
  • Maintain a tidy, organized therapy environment conducive to effective treatment.
  • Multitask to manage multiple actions and decisions while prioritizing safety.
  • Support team cohesion across centers and regions, including travel if assigned.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.

Complete the RBT certification within 20 days of employment by passing a 40-hour training, competency assessment, registering for the exam, and passing the board’s exam.

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:

  • High School/Associates: $15.00 – $22.50
  • Masters: $16.00 – $26.00

For entry-level candidates, your first raise is earned upon certification as RBT, typically within 21 days.

Experience in related fields, such as childcare, mental health, teaching, or support roles, is a plus.
