Job description

Connections Behavior is in search of full-time (32+ hrs/wk) behavior therapists to work with children and adolescents in clinic-based settings throughout King County, WA. Connections contracts with several school districts to provide 1:1 support to children and adolescents with emotion behavior disorders, autism, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviors. NO weekend work is required. This is an entry-level position where you will receive paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

This is a great position for those interested in autism, psychology, social work, counseling, mental health, and teaching to expand their careers and learn about the field of ABA. Come help us make a difference in a student’s life!

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work 1:1 with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and/or emotional behavior disorders
  • Maintain a safe environment for all students and staff members
  • Follow behavior plans and acquisition plans created by a BCBA
  • Take data on all target behaviors
  • Attend team meetings
  • Debrief with teachers daily
  • Write daily session notes
  • Collaborate with BCBA during observations

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preferred if in psychology, social work, education, or related field
  • Experience working with children and/or people with disabilities
  • Strong desire to work with students with special needs
  • A strong desire to work in a dynamic team and advance their knowledge and skills in Applied Behavior Analysis
