Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - This is a Part Time Role!
Job Description
Summary:

The Registered Behavior Technician implements ABA services to clients as written by the supervising BCBA.

Essential functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in the home and community environments.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and programs as written by the supervising BCBA.
  • Data collection and session note submission according to company policy.
  • Collaborate with peers and supervisors.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
RBT Certification or Equivalent:

It is the employee’s responsibility to always maintain an active RBT certification; an active certification is a requirement of this position. Employees whose certification lapses will undergo an immediate removal from client cases until an active status is obtained. An inactive status will affect your ability to work at Step Ahead ABA.

Employment Classification and Hours:
  • Variable employee, Non-Exempt
  • Variable employees are not guaranteed a minimum number of hours.
  • If a Variable employee does not engage with a client for 3 months during employment, Step Ahead ABA has the right to terminate employment.
  • Engagement with a client is defined as providing direct services and converting a worked appointment to a timesheet.
  • Employees are responsible for requesting additional case assignments if they wish to resume employment after case reductions.

Work Environment:
  • Providing in-home services, including respecting the client's home, leaving program materials, sitting for extended periods, playing with the client, and possibly lifting or running after the client.

Employees must abide by Step Ahead ABA’s rules and standards, including signing an acknowledgment of the Employee Handbook.

Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Experience in another ABA practice.
