Job summary

Hand Over Hand LLC provides in-home and community-based ABA services in Montclair, NJ, offering multiple schedules and competitive pay. RBTs and BTs work alongside experienced BCBAs to implement individualized treatment plans and collect data to track progress.

You will join a collaborative clinical team focused on helping individuals develop communication, social, and daily living skills with ongoing training and certification support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of ABA experience with autism/developmental disabilities.
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for positions requiring travel between client locations.
• RBT certification required if you are an RBT, or certification pursued within first 4 months for BT.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 ABA services in home, school, and community settings.
• Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision using evidence-based strategies.
• Help individuals develop communication, social, emotional, behavioral, adaptive, and daily living skills.
• Collect and record data; complete session documentation; communicate progress to the clinical team.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, families, teachers, and team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Provide 1:1 ABA services in home, school, and community settings.
• Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA using evidence-based strategies such as reinforcement, prompting, NET, DTT, and task analysis.
• Help individuals develop communication, social, emotional, behavioral, adaptive, and daily living skills.
• Support skill development and independence across everyday environments and routines.
• Accurately collect and record data, complete session documentation, and communicate observations and progress to the clinical team.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, clinical leadership, families, caregivers, teachers, and other team members to provide consistent, high-quality care.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, ongoing training, and professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold all ethical and professional standards.

What You Bring & Who You Are:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of ABA and previous experience working with autism/developmental disabilities required.
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for positions requiring travel between client locations.
• Compassionate, dependable, team-oriented, and open to feedback.
• Comfortable working independently in home, school, and community environments.
• Commitment to professional standards and ongoing development.

If You Are an RBT:

• Active RBT certification through the BACB is required.

If You Are a BT (Not an RBT Yet…No Problem!):

• RBT certification is required within the first four months of employment.
• Hand Over Hand will provide support and guidance toward obtaining RBT certification.
• Receive an increase in compensation after becoming RBT certified.
