Job summary

AWARE in Bozeman, MT is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide high‑quality care to individuals in the community. Qualifications

• Interpersonal communications skills to work as a team member and to report observations accurately.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid Montana Driver's License or ability to obtain one, with clean driving record.
• An acceptable criminal and protective services background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors to build communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills.
• Increases frequency or duration of safe replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers.
• Accurately collects behavior data including ABC, count, frequency, duration, latency, event, and interval timing.
• Follows treatment plan goals and interventions with sound judgment and seeks appropriate consultation.
• Collaborates with family and treatment team members to deliver treatment without disruption.
• Educates involved parties about the role of ABA and the RBT within treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills;
• Increases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations);
• Accurately collects behavior data including A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, event, and interval based recording;
• Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation;
• Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment;
• Educates all those involved about the role of ABA based interventions and the RBT, and functions within boundaries of the RBT role in providing treatment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or HSE is required;
• A valid Montana Driver's License or the ability to obtain one, and an acceptable driving record;
