Job summary

Magical Moments ABA in Virginia Beach is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct client care in one-on-one and group settings under BCBA supervision. You will collect data, maintain a supportive environment, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement treatment plans.

The position is part-time with an hourly rate of $24–$30, offering flexible scheduling and ongoing professional development, along with team events and a referral bonus.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of ABA experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of general ABA practices.
• At least 18+ years of age.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in one-on-one and group settings, following the treatment plan created by BCBA.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress using Central Reach.
• Maintain a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment for clients and families.
• Collaborate with therapists, providers, BCBAs, caregivers, and other professionals for effective program implementation.
• Take direction and feedback from supervising staff (BCBA/BCaBA).
• Complete required training related to organization guidelines, compliance, state and federal regulations.
• Record appointments in practice management software daily and comply with billing and payroll policies.
• Adhere to RBT ethics code and HIPAA confidentiality policies.
• Communicate with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding progress and findings.
• Collaborate with BCBAs to adjust therapy plans based on client progress.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Responsibilities:

• Provide direct client care in one-on-one and group settings, following the protocols outlined in the treatment plan created by BCBA


• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress using Central Reach


• Maintain a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment for clients and families


• Work collaboratively and communicate professionally with other therapists, providers, BCBAs, caregivers, and other professionals for effective program implementation


• Ability to take direction and feedback from the supervising staff (BCBA/BCaBA)


• Complete required training related to organization guidelines, compliance, state and federal regulations


• Accurately record appointments in practice management software daily and comply with billing and payroll policies


• Adhere to RBT ethics code and ensures all patient privacy policies, HIPAA compliance and confidentiality


• Communicate with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding client progress and behavioral intervention findings


• Collaborate with BCBAs to adjust therapy plans based on client progress and emerging needs
