Job summary

Horizon Elementary School in Lenexa, KS seeks a Registered Behavior Technician to assist in supervision, care and instruction of students with behavioral challenges. The role involves implementing behavior management plans, taking data and supporting classroom teams.

Starting pay is $20.50 per hour commensurate with experience; district will reimburse up to $500 to obtain the RBT license within 90 days of hire. Applicants without license start at $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current RBT license required or eligible within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with students who have behavioral challenges preferred.
• Ability to support IEP and behavior plan implementation.

Position Purpose:

The job of the RBT is to assist in the supervision, care and instruction of students who are experiencing behavioral challenges in and out of the classroom. This position implements behavior management plans, takes data, and helps to support school personnel on behavior management plans as well as individual education plans.

Applicants selected without current RBT license will have a starting pay of $17.50 per hour. District will reimburse applicants up to $500 to obtain RBT license within 90 days of hire.
