Join our dedicated team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Duties

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment plans.
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, eating, and toileting, to support independence.
  • Support clients in developing communication skills through various teaching strategies tailored to their needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ensure all medical documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with the supervising BCBA and other team members to review progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
  • Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that encourages learning, growth, and emotional well-being for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder.
  • Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior management strategies effectively.
  • Excellent data collection skills to track client progress accurately and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and care plans related to behavioral health.
  • Compassionate approach with patience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to adhere to confidentiality standards such as HIPAA and maintain detailed medical documentation.
