Job summary

Franklin Public Schools is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to support students at Washington K-5 Complex in Franklin, MA. The position is full-time, located on-site, and reports to the Building Principal.

Salary is $27.73 per hour and the role qualifies for town benefits including Health Insurance. The RBT will help implement behavior programming, collect data, and collaborate with the team to support social, language, and adaptive skills development for students with autism or related

Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Two year college degree preferred.
  • Experience with children with Autism is a plus.
  • Must be warm, caring, respectful and have a strong desire to work with young children.
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.
  • Must successfully pass CORI/background check and CHRI fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

  • Aiding in planning and implementing behavioral programming for assigned student in collaboration with team.
  • Recording and summarizing data.
  • Writing progress reports.
  • Meeting regularly with team members.
  • Modifying general education expectations to meet student’s needs for inclusion.
  • Actively participate in ongoing training.
  • Work closely with other team members.
  • Providing home services with families as needed.

General Description: The Franklin Public Schools, a Prek-12 district, is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated individual to work as a Behavior Technician at Washington Street K-5 Elementary School. A behavior technician uses the principles of behavior analysis to help students improve social, play, language, and adaptive skills, while helping to reduce challenging behaviors that get in the way of the student's every day functioning. The therapist is required to be reliable and maintain accurate data-keeping. This work is performed in the classroom under the supervision of a BCBA supervisor.

Job Responsibilities
