Position Overview: ABA Therapist – ASD Treatment
As an ABA Therapist at SkyCare, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming the lives of children with autism. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive and flexible environment, including in-home, school-based, and clinic-based settings. Utilizing the latest ABA therapy techniques, such as Natural Environment Teaching (NET) and Discrete Trial Training (DTT), you’ll work closely with a compassionate team to deliver impactful therapy. In this role, you’ll have the chance to make a profound difference in your community, all while gaining valuable resources and support to advance your professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement ABA Therapy: Use evidence-based ABA techniques to teach essential behavior and life skills, focusing on communication, self-help, social skills, and play skills.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Track and monitor client progress through direct observation, collecting and analyzing data on behaviors to assess the effectiveness of interventions.
- Collaboration: Partner with parents, caregivers, and supervising Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to ensure the success of each child’s treatment plan and provide a holistic, team-based approach.
- Program Implementation: Deliver targeted teaching based on treatment plans developed by supervising BCBAs, ensuring consistent application of therapy principles.
- Behavioral Intervention: Communicate intervention results clearly and effectively, providing feedback to families and the clinical team to foster a continuous feedback loop of progress and development.
Requirements:
- Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (or actively working towards obtaining it).
- Passion for Helping Children: A deep passion for working with children with autism and a commitment to making a lasting, positive impact in their lives.
- Skills Implementation: Ability to follow detailed behavior intervention strategies with care, respect, and consistency.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to engage in Floor Time activities and sustain physical exertion for up to 45 minutes when required.
- Safety Focus: Strong attention to the safety and well-being of children and their environment, ensuring a secure space for growth and learning.
