Job summary

Stepping Stone Kids Therapy is seeking compassionate Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our growing team in Port Charlotte, FL. You will work one-on-one with children with autism under BCBA supervision and implement individualized treatment plans.

We offer a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends, competitive pay, and benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, RBT training, and ongoing clinical mentorship.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current RBT credential preferred.
  • Current Sunshine Credentialed preferred.

  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs.
  • Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills using ABA techniques.
  • Collect accurate session data and maintain timely clinical documentation.
  • Follow behavior intervention procedures and safety protocols as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs and other team members to support client progress.
  • Build positive, therapeutic relationships with children and their families.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with BACB Ethics Code, Medicaid requirements, HIPAA, and company policies.

What You'll Do
  • Provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs.
  • Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills using evidence-based ABA techniques.
  • Collect accurate session data and maintain timely clinical documentation.
  • Follow behavior intervention procedures and safety protocols as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs and other members of the interdisciplinary team to support client progress.
  • Build positive, therapeutic relationships with children and their families.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with the BACB Ethics Code, Medicaid requirements, HIPAA, company policies, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain productivity and documentation expectations established by the organization.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential preferred.
  • Current Sunshine Credentialed preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities.
  • Experience in ABA, education, childcare, healthcare, or related fields.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

No ABA experience? No problem!

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to actively engage with children throughout the workday.
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, squat, run, and transition between activities.
  • Ability to safely lift or assist children weighing up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to implement behavior intervention procedures, including responding to challenging behaviors using approved safety techniques and company training.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced pediatric clinic environment.
