What is a Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT)

A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to help individuals with autism improve key daily living and communication skills, promoting greater independence. RBTs apply strategies such as prompting and positive reinforcement to encourage skill development and behavioral progress.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver ABA interventions to clients in home, school, or community settings
• Collect, analyze, and prepare data for reports and presentations
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure consistent program delivery
• Provide feedback to parents and guardians on clients' daily activities
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children or adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Required)
• Strong communication skills with BCBA’s, supervisors, and families
• Pass a criminal background check
• Eagerness to learn and accept performance feedback
• Willingness to follow instructions and ask questions
