Job description

Position: BCBA (On-site)
  • Potential for practicum supervision
  • Potential tuition assistance
  • Center-based setting
  • Working with pediatric population
  • Full-time, 36 hours per week
  • Benefit eligible on day one
  • Educational opportunities with other disciplines including physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language therapists, and physical therapists
  • Weekly RBT meetings with BCBA
  • Monthly department meetings with leadership
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, applied behavior analysis, speech and hearing services, child and human development, or related field.
  • Certification: Current RBT certification issued by BACB or obtain within 90 days of start date. If obtaining certification within 90 days, must complete Autism Partnership's 40-hour RBT Training Course prior to start date.
  • Experience: Foundational knowledge of child development and ABA, with at least 1 year of experience with individuals with disabilities or children.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pursuing a master's degree in ABA; skilled in de-escalation strategies, Verbal Behavior, Natural Environment Teaching, and proficient with online data systems.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to assume and maintain various positions (kneeling, squatting, crawling, etc.) for extended periods.
  • Willingness to implement crisis intervention strategies after training.
  • Ability to perform quick body movements while working with patients.
  • Ability to lift or move approximately 50 lbs.
Overview:

The RBT, under supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA, will implement treatment plans for children with autism and related disorders, maintaining communication with supervisors and team. This description is not exhaustive and may change at the discretion of Mercy Kids Autism Therapy Services and Mercy Kids Autism Center.
