Job summary

CPH, a multi-disciplinary engineering and architecture firm, is seeking a Registered Architect to join and lead our Sanford, FL architecture team. You will guide projects from initial concept through construction, ensuring design integrity, quality control, and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate with clients, engineers, and contractors, manage schedules and budgets, and mentor junior staff while upholding the firm’s standards of excellence in design and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Registered Architect licensure required.
• 5+ years of experience in architecture, focusing on large commercial projects.
• Extensive knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

CPH is a multi-disciplinary Engineering and Architecture firm that ranks in the nation’s Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine. We are seeking a Registered Architect to join and help lead our dynamic Architecture team in Sanford, FL!

The Registered Architect is responsible for leading architectural projects from beginning through completion. This involves quality control, coordination with clients, engineers, contractors, and other teams to ensure the architectural designs are executed according to the project’s expectations, regulatory standards, budget, and project timeline. The Registered Architect will help manage the project team, and oversee the design development, ensuring the quality and integrity of the architectural work.

Duties Include

• Manage the design process, including design, design development, and final design documentation.


• Create and present plan proposals, including drawings, models, and descriptions.


• Ensure designs meet client needs, budget, and regulatory requirements complying with local, state and federal regulations.


• Assist in developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and resources.


• Oversee project targets, manage risks, and address any issues that may arise during the project.


• Serve as a point of contact for clients and other members of team throughout the project.


• Ensure architectural drawings and specification are accurate, complete, and compliant with all standards.


• Review designs and documentation for accuracy and functionality.


• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality.


• Maintain high standards of architectural quality and innovation.


• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

• Experience with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite.


• Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning laws and regulatory requirements


• Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills, and ability to maintain schedules and meet project deadlines.


• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work cross-functionally in a team environment.


• Familiar with the architecture and engineering industry.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.


• Registered Architect licensure required.


• 5+ years of experience in architecture, with a focus on large commercial projects
