Job summary

St. Louis Public Library’s Julia Davis Branch is seeking a Regional Youth Services Supervisor. You will lead Youth Services staff regionally, design engaging programs for diverse youth, and connect families to library resources.

The role requires strong communication skills, supervisory experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects while engaging schools and community partners. A student-centered, service-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Master’s in Library Science preferred for deeper library leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Youth Services staff in the region to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Develop high-quality, relevant programming for youth.
• Establish and maintain relationships with schools and community organizations.
• Act as Person in Charge when manager is unavailable, including opening/closing and emergencies.
• Maintain knowledge of collections and connect youth to resources.
