Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife Management, Natural Resource Science, or a related field.
  • Five years of professional wildlife management experience in related areas.
  • Three years of supervisory or multi-division leadership experience.
  • Experience managing budgets, grants, or contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and executive oversight to advance wildlife conservation and recreation objectives.
  • Supervise regional Wildlife Program staff and foster accountability, collaboration and team effectiveness.
  • Oversee four divisions (Game, Wildlife Diversity, Landowner Services, Lands) and staff across Region 4.
  • Develop policies and hunting season recommendations with regional impact.
  • Manage the Region 4 Wildlife Program budget and stakeholder negotiations.
  • Engage with legislators and keep community partners informed about wildlife programs.
