Job summary

Veolia in the United States seeks a Facilities Operations Specialist to cover vacations and absences across multiple water and wastewater facilities in the Dayton region. The role supports training and development of local teams and acts as a flexible, hands-on operator across shift patterns.

You will operate pumps and valves, collect samples, analyze data, ensure safety, and help coordinate maintenance and start-up projects at new accounts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of operation and control of pumps, motors and valves.
• Attention to detail and strong time management.
• Clear communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full operational coverage of Veolia facilities in the region during vacations and absences.
• Operate pumps, motors, and valves to regulate wastewater flow.
• Collect and test wastewater samples; record data and monitor trends.
• Coordinate with maintenance and field teams; support training of technicians.
