Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 10–15 years in commercial bond underwriting and client service.
• 3–6 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Knowledge of regulatory processes and commercial surety.
• AFSB designation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Grow and maintain a profitable book of commercial bond business for the defined region.
• Travel region to promote products and train underwriters.
• Develop profitable premium growth and set underwriting guidelines for the region.
• Review large exposures and approve/deny bonds within authority; provide guidance.
• Oversee accounts receivable from agencies and ensure timely collections.
• Lead talent management, annual reviews, and salary administration for regional staff.
