Position Title: REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES- CANTEEN CHICAGO

Salary: $100,000-125,000K base salary plus commission

Job Summary

The Regional Vice President of Sales for Canteen will be the leader responsible for the strategic direction & sales growth of the business development team within the Canteen business in the Midwest region. Specifically, this person will lead a team of sales professionals in expanding Canteen services throughout this rapidly growing space. Ideal candidate to be based in Chicago or WI.

Responsibilities:

  1. Hands on help and support in crafting the deal to win (forming and executing effective sales strategy)
  2. Train, coach, develop, support and hold accountable a team of direct reports
  3. Identify and orchestrate the appropriate Compass resources and support to win new business
  4. Help with identifying and qualifying targets and the needed strategy to win.
  5. Investigate and analyze potential new business markets and new business growth strategies as well as competitors' activities with clients or targeted clients
  6. Dynamic leadership including ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  7. Accurately forecast sales, ensure integrity of CRM and effectively manage expenses
  8. Must be able to travel 75% or more within the US
  9. Strong sales and sales-related function skills including commitment to Compass Sales Process
  10. Drive new business revenue aggressively while ensuring strong profitability
  11. Excellent rapport and relationship builder with decision makers over the long-term selling cycle
  12. Excellent communication skills (oral, written & listening)
  13. Team builder; sales and operations
  14. Ability to manage a regionally based sales team
  15. Consistently exceed sales quotas
  16. Exceptional attention to detail and problem solving
  17. Positive, can-do attitude with flexibility and creativity

Qualifications:

  1. MBA or extensive leadership training preferred, Bachelor’s degree required
  2. 15+ years of successful sales experience, 8+ in successful sales leadership roles in food service
  3. Strategic innovator with proven leadership and successful sales qualities
  4. Extensive experience in government or education services sales
  5. Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial and operational data
  6. Ability to interface with all levels inside and outside the organization
  7. Consultative sales experience at a national level with multi-sites and layers of decision makers
  8. Experience managing and/or selling large volume, complex P&L and Fee contracts
