Job summary

Desort is seeking a Regional Veterinary Medical Director to lead clinical operations across three hospitals in Northern Virginia. This role blends hands-on veterinary care with multi-site leadership to elevate medical quality, clinician development, and hospital performance.

You will mentor veterinarians, drive strategic planning, and ensure high standards of patient care while traveling between locations to support teams and operations.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical veterinary experience.
  • Active veterinary license in good standing or ability to obtain Virginia licensure.
  • Leadership or multi-site oversight experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment and veterinary expertise.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Operational and financial understanding.
