Our client is seeking an experienced Regional Underwriting Manager, Commercial Lines to lead their growing team of underwriters and help shape the future of their Northeast division. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced underwriting leader who thrives in a strategic, team-focused role and is ready to make a meaningful impact on product expansion and underwriting excellence. This is a remote position with limited travel but the preference would be the candidate to reside in one of the following states: NJ, PA, NY, CT, RI, DE, or MA.

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Lines Underwriting professionals, ensuring consistent execution of underwriting best practices.
• Provide strategic oversight across our Commercial Lines product portfolio, including BOP, Workers' Compensation, and Commercial Umbrella.
• Partner with senior leadership on underwriting strategy, product development, and multi-state expansion initiatives.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex underwriting decisions, without personal production expectations.
• Collaborate with agents and brokers to strengthen partnerships through occasional field visits or conference attendance
• Drive operational excellence through process improvement, training, and performance management.

Qualifications:

• 5 - 10+ year of commercial underwriting experience, including proven experience leading an underwriting team across multiple lines of business.
• Expertise in multi-state underwriting and product development is strongly preferred.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to elevate underwriting practices and support company growth.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style.

Salary/Benefits:

• $140,000 to $170,000 annual base salary (depending on experience) plus 20 - 40% Annual Bonus
• Flexible, primarily remote work with occasional in-office presence.
