Job summary

Utilities One seeks a Manager of Underground Construction to oversee in-house underground drilling operations in the U.S., predominantly in the Butler region. The role requires leading field crews, ensuring safety, quality, and timely project delivery, with extensive travel (80%+).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in underground drilling/construction with progressive leadership.
• Ability to read construction drawings, utility maps, permits, and job site plans.
• Willingness to travel 80%+ across multiple states.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily oversight of underground drilling operations to ensure safety, quality, and production goals.
• Lead on-site training and onboarding for crews and staff.
• Enforce safety standards and regulatory requirements with routine inspections and audits.
• Coordinate resources with Regional Directors, Project Managers, and Foremen to support schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, crew performance, training activities, and reporting.
• Collaborate with leadership to align on objectives and drive continuous improvement.
