UFP Transportation is hiring a full-time, motivated, and dependable Class A CDL driver with a clean driver record for our Granger, IN location. You will play a key role in keeping UFP’s commitment to exceeding customer expectations by delivering cargo safely and efficiently.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Drive regional routes, with willingness to stay out Sunday night/Monday morning to Friday night when needed. During the summer season, being home every night.
2. Operate commercial vehicles up to 80,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight.
3. Complete required driving logs using a highly developed ELD system.
4. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment.
5. Secure loads and inspect loads to ensure proper securement.
6. Follow all applicable safety, DOT, and company rules and regulations.
7. Maintain accurate driving records, logs, and shipping documents.
8. Verify shipping documents for accuracy and obtain customer signatures upon delivery.
9. Complete training as required by management.
10. Competitive pay based on experience and location.

Qualifications

1. Must be 21 years of age or older.
2. Valid and current Commercial Driver’s License.
3. At least a 12th-grade education.
4. Minimum of 1 year experience driving a commercial vehicle up to 80,000 pounds GVW.
5. No DOT recordable accidents in the past three years.
6. Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
7. Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, push/pull, twist, stand, walk, and bend.
