Job summary

TransMontaigne Partners LLC in Denver, CO seeks a Staff Accountant II responsible for all accounting aspects of terminals within the region. The role includes reviewing invoices, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly reporting, with emphasis on ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 leases, while supporting audits and internal controls.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 2–4 years of accounting experience; oil and gas industry exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
• 2–4 years of professional accounting experience.
• Oil and gas industry experience preferred.
• SAP experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review invoices, schedules, journal entries and GL reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly terminal margin reports for variances and approvals.
• Prepare monthly gain/loss volumes and reporting for settlement.
• Assist with terminal month-end inventory statements and variances.
• Monitor regional contracts and escalations with Sr. Accountant.
• Design and implement training materials for outsourced agents.
• Record monthly journal entries for revenues, COGS and expenses.
• Perform reconciliations and support audits; ensure SOX compliance.
• Build relationships with operations personnel.
• Assist on projects and 10Q/10K filings as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
