Position Title:

Structural Designer - Corrugated Packaging

The Opportunity:

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced corrugated packaging professional to step into a newly created, highly visible role designed to support a growing multi-plant manufacturing operation. As part of a strategic restructuring initiative, the organization is centralizing its structural design function to improve consistency, responsiveness, and collaboration across multiple manufacturing facilities.

The successful candidate will become the primary structural design resource supporting several manufacturing locations and sales teams, allowing them to have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, packaging performance, and business growth. Rather than being limited to a single facility, this individual will influence packaging design decisions across a broader footprint, partnering with commercial and operational stakeholders to develop innovative, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions.

This position is ideal for a designer who enjoys autonomy, visibility, and ownership. The role offers the opportunity to establish best practices, help standardize design processes, improve communication between facilities, and serve as a trusted technical resource throughout the organization. The successful candidate will be instrumental in moving projects from concept through commercialization while helping drive profitable growth through thoughtful packaging design and material optimization.

The Company:

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of corrugated packaging solutions serving a diverse customer base through multiple production facilities. The organization has built its reputation on delivering practical, customer-focused packaging solutions while maintaining a strong commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

As the business continues to evolve, leadership has identified an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between facilities by creating a centralized structural design function. This investment reflects the company's commitment to supporting growth, improving responsiveness to customers, and creating greater alignment between sales, design, and manufacturing teams.

The hiring manager is seeking a technically strong and self-directed professional who can work collaboratively with both sales and operations teams while serving as the organization's primary structural design expert across multiple locations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build strong relationships throughout the organization and become a highly valued resource for both commercial and manufacturing initiatives.

The Position:

The Structural Designer will serve as a centralized design resource supporting multiple manufacturing facilities and sales teams. This individual will be responsible for designing corrugated packaging solutions that align customer requirements with manufacturing capabilities and business objectives.
