Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Warehouse and Materials Supervisor to oversee warehousing and distribution across six to ten service center locations. You will travel to shops weekly, coordinate with stores and other departments, and ensure material control processes and safety standards are followed.

The role requires leadership experience, a degree or equivalent, and proficiency with SAP, CREWS, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree; in lieu of a degree, High School Diploma with 4+ years work experience.
• Experience in a leadership role or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience in warehousing and materials management is a plus.
• Knowledge of transmission and substation materials is a plus.
• Ability to forecast material needs and evaluate bill of materials.
• Proficient with SAP, CREWS, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Directing and coordinating warehousing and distribution across 6-10 service center locations.
• Travel weekly to multiple line shops to coordinate with storekeeper and other departments.
• Resolve material control system problems and ensure warehouse activities follow process.
• Monitor and enforce conformance to work practices, rules and procedures.
• Lead and train employees; coordinate work with Lines, Engineering, Work Management, Sub, Fleet and Meter.
• Forecast upcoming material needs and manage on-hand inventory to identify risks.
• Assist in materials layout and monitor equipment utilization by contractors and internal staff.
• Interface with customers regarding inventory management.
• Manage a non-company warehouse if needed for emergencies or peaks.
