Job summary

REI Co-op in Chicago region is seeking a Regional Director to lead stores, drive revenue, membership growth and operational excellence while advancing inclusion and community engagement.

This role is remote with up to 60% travel; candidates should be based in the greater Chicago area, with Minneapolis–St. Paul also considered. The successful leader will shape regional strategies, coach diverse teams and partner across divisions to deliver REI’s transformation plan.

Qualifications

• Strategic leadership of REI stores in a region.
• Accountable for regional revenue, membership, KPIs, and profitability.
• Drive diversity and inclusion and leadership development.
• Travel up to 60% and base in Chicago area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate company strategies into actionable divisional plans.
• Monitor regional performance and drive strategy adjustments.
• Lead store visits and engagement with leadership to build trust.
