Signify is seeking a Regional Specification Sales Manager, home based near Florida, Alabama, or Mississippi, to lead a team of lighting agents and drive specification opportunities with key design firms and projects.

The role requires a bachelor's or master's in Engineering or Architecture and 5+ years in specification sales or business development within lighting or building technology, plus strong stakeholder engagement and industry presence.

This is an exciting job opportunity for you as a Regional Specification Sales Manager, home based near Florida, Alabama, or Mississippi (Ideally Southern Florida) with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting.

Responsibilities

• Leads, coaches, and motivates a team of lighting agents.
• Fosters a collaborative culture focused on influence, innovation, and customer excellence.
• Defines the market influence strategy to position Signify/CLS as a thought leader in lighting design and technology.
• Sets priorities for target segments, key design firms, and emerging applications such as connected lighting, human-centric lighting, and sustainable design.
• Oversees specification activities to secure inclusion of Signify’s/CLS products and systems in project designs, tender documents, and building standards.
• Tracks influence-to-order conversion and ensures business impact from specification efforts.
• Leads initiatives to identify and target key specifiers in relevant markets.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with key architects, lighting designers, and engineering consultants.
• Represents Signify in design and specifier industry forums, conferences, and industry associations to strengthen brand reputation and thought leadership.
• Identifies specification gaps in current product offering, analyzes product and system gaps, conducts "voice of specifier" interviews to give timely feedback to offer management team to develop new lighting products and solutions.

More about you

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field essential for understanding lighting design and technology.
• 5+ years of experience in specification sales or business development within the lighting or building technology industry, including leadership of technical teams and stakeholder engagement.
• Relevant professional certifications in lighting design is preferred*.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.

Salary

$126,000 - $176,000 based on experience

Bonus

target bonus opportunity - 35%
