About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use): 09

The Team: This role is part of our Americas People Services team, supporting People Services across seven countries as well as providing global support. Team members are based in Argentina, Canada, Malaysia, the Philippines, and the US.

The Impact: The Regional Specialist, People Services–US provides first line service to our employees and leadership to the Americas People Services team, giving knowledgeable advice and assistance for the US in particular. This role ensures accurate administration throughout the employee lifecycle and plays a crucial role in enhancing the People Experience through process and system improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide and coach team members and People Leaders during key moments that matter and US employee life cycle events such as Onboarding to Offboarding, ensuring compliance with company policy and US regulations.
  • Enhance the overall People Experience by driving People Satisfaction through expert guidance and timely resolution of cases, claims, and queries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, supporting initiatives and change management projects.
  • Develop and maintain articles in the Knowledge library to support understanding of HR policies, practices, and procedures for the US population and the People Services team.
  • Resolve queries (‘tickets’) raised in Service Now (internal HR case management system) providing advice and support within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of US processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor, maintain and evaluate third-party systems and relationships, ensuring performance meets agreed SLAs and escalating deviations as needed.
  • Collaborate with the relevant Payroll Services, Wellbeing, Regional People Experts, People Relations and other regional stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Transact and approve data requests in HR systems (Workday, Service Now, Equifax) and maintain records in accordance with federal, state, and local employment laws and in alignment with company processes for the US population.
  • Support the People function with additional ad-hoc activities and projects as required by business needs.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is 51,289 to 91,872.25. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan. What we're looking for?

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years relevant experience in providing HR support for global organization or across the US.
  • Strong knowledge of US employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and provide meaningful recommendations through storytelling.
  • Embraces a growth mindset, demonstrates flexibility and brings clarity to complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Customer service experience and delivery of SLA-driven metrics.
  • Proficiency in HR systems (preferably Workday and Service Now).

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable analytical mindset and a proven track record developing and using metrics, including leveraging AI.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven HR tools or platforms to streamline HR processes.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for process automation within HR processes using technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to apply discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest AI and technology trends in HR to continuously improve processes and strategies.
