Job summary
VELUX in White Marsh, MD is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Operative to ensure timely, professional delivery of products to customers. You will handle shipping/receiving, pick/pack, stocking, labeling, packaging, and forklift operation, with emphasis on accurate inventory and bar coding.
Responsibilities include assisting with physical inventories, scanning bar-coded products, and installation of blinds as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Shipping/receiving experience and warehousing knowledge required.
- Forklift experience required; certified forklift license preferred.
- Strong math skills for inventory counts.
- Hand tools and assembling parts experience preferred.
- Experience with barcode scanning and physical inventories preferred.
- Experience with data collection and SAP preferred.
- Good work, safety and attendance record; team player.
- Lift up to 50 lbs; able to bend, reach, stoop, climb.
- Comply with all safety rules and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Ship and receive VELUX products for internal and external customers.
- Perform general warehousing tasks: picking, loading/unloading, stocking, labeling, packaging, and forklift operation.
- Assist in physical inventory and bar coding.
- Install blinds.
