Job summary

Trane Technologies in the Southeast is hiring a Service Project Manager to join our Service Sales team. You will quote and enter service work, order parts, schedule labor, and ensure projects run smoothly from estimate to completion across multiple sites, including Greenville, SC.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum two years’ experience in project management, HVAC or related.
• Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; practical experience prioritized.
• Experience with contracting processes and estimating HVAC installations.
• Computer skills are essential.
• Highly organized and customer-service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned projects on time, ensure financial performance and customer satisfaction.
• Plan and analyze projects, set schedules, parameters, and procedures.
• Create estimates, generate proposals, enter projects, order parts, track parts, schedule labor, and assist billing.
• Enter service estimates, issue purchase orders, and generate work orders.
• Manage service projects from estimate to completion.
• Receive and qualify subcontractor proposals; assist Sales as needed.
• Communicate with customers and representatives; maintain satisfaction and address concerns.
• Ensure staff and subcontractors work safely per Trane and OSHA.
• Less than 5% travel to customer sites is required.

In this role you will be a key team member on our Service Sales team, and responsible for quoting and entering service work, ordering parts and necessary supplies, and ensuring that all service work is scheduled and executed. This role can sit anywhere within the Southeast: Huntsville, AL; Birmingham, AL; Montgomery, AL; Atlanta, GA; Macon, GA; Columbia, SC; Florence, SC; Charleston, SC; Greenville, SC; Ashville, NC; Charlotte, NC; Nashville, TN; Knoxville, TN; Memphis, TN

What you will do:

• Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects, financial performance, and the highest level of customer satisfaction.
• Plan and analyze assigned projects, establish schedules, project parameters, and set procedures to accomplish system objectives, involving complex service applications.
• Create estimates and generate proposals. Entering projects, ordering parts, tracking parts, scheduling labor internally and with customer, reviewing completion of projects and billing coordination.
• Responsible for entering service estimates, issuing purchase orders, and generating work orders.
• Manage service projects from estimate to completion.
• Receive and qualify subcontractor proposals. Assist Sales develop projects as needed.
• Communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff. Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.
• Ensure that all assigned staff and subcontractors are working in a safe manner per Trane and OSHA policies.
• Less than 5% travel to customer job sites is required.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in project management, HVAC or related preferred.
• Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles.
• Experienced and knowledgeable in contracting processes and estimating associated with the installation of HVAC systems and managing subcontractors preferred.
• Computer skills are essential.
• Highly organized and strongly customer service oriented.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$84,740.00 – $118,860.00
