Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC is seeking a Regional Nuclear Service Director to help manage a portfolio of projects providing services to commercial nuclear power plants in the Northeast region of the United States. This individual will be a key contributor in our Americas Outage & Maintenance Services Business Segment and should possess experience in managing a diverse group of services in the commercial nuclear generation industry, possess the ability to foster relationships at the executive level in an integrated electric utility, and deliver P&L results that support business needs. This is a remote position, but the ideal candidate will live within the Northeast region.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of projects & services with annual revenues of up to $250M USD, located at customer owned facilities which could include multiple Westinghouse products ranging from Reactor Refueling, Plant Maintenance, Modifications, Radiation Protection, Specialty Welding & Machining, Rotating Equipment Services, Instrumentation & Control, and other services as required.
  • Be the Single Point of Contact for customer leadership and act as a conduit for leadership escalation for execution related issues.
  • Act as a partner with other Westinghouse organizations as a key member of the customer service team. Participate and/or lead commercial negotiations for existing and new contracts.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a Nuclear Power Plant in the United States, Mexico & Canada.
  • Utilize Lean thinking and mindset to drive continuous improvement.
  • Acts as oversight of the project planning and readiness process, providing independent challenge and assurance of readiness for field execution.
  • Support issue management through Westinghouse & Customer relationships as required to support successful outage and work scope completion.
  • Act as people leader for a group of employees located at our customer sites.
  • Deliver defined as sold financial results that meet business expectations.
  • Lead other services related projects inside Westinghouse to support business integration and transformation activities.

Who You Are:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience required (8+ years strongly preferred) in management of services or operations in nuclear power generation or service focused organization that includes electrical, controls, and maintenance/plant modifications. SRO License in a BWR or PWR is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation, risk management, and consensus-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and influence positively a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a strong ownership mentality.
  • Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally, to support business needs.
  • Comfortable thriving in fast-paced environments.
