Job summary

Charter School Associates is seeking a Regional Mental Health Counselor to support Palm Glades Preparatory Academ in Miami. The role covers a regional scope with travel between schools to implement and coordinate the Mental Health Plan, ensuring effective communication and documentation.

The candidate will partner with principals, counselors, and district representatives, and bring expertise in risk assessment, intervention, and collaboration with family physicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in school counseling or comparable.
• Certified School Counselor, School Psychologist, or Social Worker and/or licensed Mental Health Professional.
• Three to five years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Mental Health Plan in the assigned region and coordinate services across schools.
• Collaborate with principals and counselors to ensure seamless service integration and documentation.
• Develop and implement referral processes and an early warning system for students at risk.
• Create a student case management process to document services provided.
• Apply a multi‑tiered intervention system to prioritize services for students.
• Coordinate with community resources to expand mental health services for students.
• Establish processes with family physicians when necessary and manage related legal agreements.
• Document communications with parents and establish crisis intervention coordination.
• Identify and implement assessments that address mental health and risk factors.
