Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking a Regional Scheduler for our Phoenix, AZ office. This role focuses on the organization, implementation, verification, and maintenance of the scheduling management system supporting regional pursuits and active projects.

You will develop and update schedules, analyze performance, and prepare management reports while collaborating with project teams across the region. Travel to projects is required as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management or equivalent.
  • Approximately 10 years of experience.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Primavera P6.
  • Preferred: Acumen Fuse, Synchro, Project and Cost Management Systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time.
  • Must be willing to travel to and from projects in region.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements a comprehensive scheduling management system including standardization of work breakdown structure, activity code libraries, time impact and critical path analysis methodologies, schedule updating workshops, training, etc.
  • Interacts with project teams and task managers to define project scopes of work to develop and update job and pursuit schedules in terms of progress, cost, and resource information.
  • Evaluates project schedule data/performance including recording activities, verifying dates and logic ties, cost/budgets, change orders, work breakdown structures, risks, and data; identifies variances from plan.
  • Prepares project management reports to reflect schedule status and/or corrective actions as required.
  • Conducts analysis and workshops to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on eroded schedules and those on-time or ahead schedules.

We are currently seeking a Regional Scheduler for our Phoenix, AZ office.

The Regional Scheduler is responsible for the organization, implementation, verification, and maintenance of the scheduling management system supporting regional pursuits and active projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Recommends timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems or alternative methods to efficiently achieve schedule certainty, including, but not limited to:

  • Analyzing project schedule requirements with the project team and ensuring requiredresources are available, so that established schedules may bereasonably maintained.
  • Analyzing work productivity against established schedules/productions andreporttomanagement. Modifying schedules as necessary to efficiently plan and report activities.
  • Analyzing anychangesin construction planning,sequencing,and/or logic to ensure theproject may bereasonablymaintained.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction managementor equivalent
  • Approximately 10 years of experience
  • Proficient in the following: Word, Excel, Primavera P6
  • Preferred Proficiency in the following: Acumen Fuse, Synchro,Projectand Cost Management Systems
